New Pend Oreille Surgery Center Opens

Pend Oreille Surgery Center owners and staff, accompanied by the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, celebrated with a ribbon cutting ceremony announcing the opening of their new center.

Pend Oreille Surgery Center, located at 30544 Hwy. 200 in Ponderay, is a privately owned, free-standing, ambulatory surgical center specifically designed to provide care for "day surgery" patients. Through an experienced team of doctors, RNs, CSTs combined with a professional business staff, the center provides a wide range of ambulatory surgical services. Patients may be scheduled by credentialed medical staff for elective procedures including general, orthopedic, podiatric, and plastic surgery, in addition to endoscopic and interventional pain procedures.

"The staff is proud of the beautiful and tranquil atmosphere that has been created for patients, their family members, staff and providers," said Kris Sabo, RN and Executive Director. "The center is equipped with state of the art equipment and comfortable furnishings, creating a positive surgical experience for patients as well as a great place to work," she said.

Pend Oreille Surgery Center officials would like to thank Reitinger & Associates Consulting, Morss Medical Architecture, Leone & Keeble Construction, Decision by Design, Sandpoint Computers, TNT Communications, and Envy Graphic Design for their invaluable help with this "dream-come-true". Special thanks goes to Panhandle State Bank for financing the project despite a difficult credit environment.

Pend Oreille Surgery Center is dedicated to its mission to expand the future of health care in Bonner County. For more information, call (208) 265-8194 or visit www.PendOreilleSurgeryCenter.com.
