Chamber Honors Chris Bessler as Volunteer of the Month

The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce honored Chris Bessler as September’s Volunteer of the Month. Chris’ volunteering in our community is vast and his impact has been tremendous.

From 2008-2012, Chris served on the DSBA Board of Directors 2008-2012. He even was the president and vice-president during his time with the DSBA. He is a long time Tourism Sandpoint Council member, formerly Visit Sandpoint. Other Boards that are happy to have him include the Panhandle Alliance for Education and the Advisory Council for Friends of Ponderay Bay Trail. In his past, he has served on the Panida Theater Board of Directors, Sandpoint Planning Commission, Selkirk-Priest Basin Association and Chaired Sandpoint Forward committee.

“I’ve known Chris for a while, the big thing about volunteers is making a difference in the community, this young man [Chris] makes a difference,” explained Jim Lovell.
